Imagine Research, a San Francisco-based technology start-up, was acquired by iZotope, Inc. in March 2012. As part of iZotope, the team continues to research and develop intelligent audio technologies. Our solutions change the way people interact with, and search for audio content.

We are a highly-interdisciplinary team of software engineers and leading researchers, with a global network of collaborations. We drive product innovation and create competitive advantage through music information retrieval, intelligent audio signal processing, and machine learning solutions.

Since 2008, Imagine Research has provided research, consulting, and licensable solutions for market-leading audio, video, search engine, and music gaming clients. We have received National Science Foundation Small Business Innovation Research awards in recognition of the technical and commercial merit of our innovative sound-object recognition technology. Our core team includes former researchers, engineers, and technology executives from Digidesign/Avid, Xerox PARC, IRCAM, Yamaha, Panasonic, Stanford, Princeton, Columbia, UC Berkeley, and UC Santa Barbara.
